Final Exams
Individual teachers arrange finals. If you are in a mixed-grade class, ask your teacher when you can take your final. Seniors last day will be Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Things to Take Care of Before Your Last Day
- Complete all coursework.
- Return textbooks, library books, Chromebooks, and power cords by the end of the school day on Thursday, May 22nd.
- Check the list of fines at the finance office. The list will be available by Tuesday, May 27th at 3 PM.
- Clean your lockers.
- Download any personal files you want to keep onto your own storage device and then clear all files from your Google Drive, OneDrive, and Z Drive. After graduation, there is a $20/hour fee to recover documents from your drives.
- Pay fines and fees at the finance office. To receive your diploma at the graduation ceremony, you must pay all fines by 1 PM on Friday, May 30th.
- Return your senior lot parking permit between May 16th. There will be a $5 fee for any permits not returned to the office. You will receive a temporary permit for the remainder of the school year.
- If you painted a parking spot, it needs to be painted over in FLAT BLACK PAINT by Wednesday, May 21 or you will receive a $100 repaint fee. Power washing will not do the trick. You must paint over it in black paint.
- Complete a refund request form for any lunch account funds over $10. Any amount under $10 requires a visit to the district office building to receive cash back.
Records Office/Finance Information
Transcripts: These will be available on June 12 after grades in all classes have been stored. Mrs. Breuer will send your transcripts to the college you specified on your senior exit form. If you need a transcript sent to the NCAA or the NAIA, please indicate that on your senior exit form.
Immunization records will be handed out at the graduation rehearsal. If you have an excused absence from rehearsal, you can pick up your records from the records office.
Diplomas: Your first one is free. Duplicates will cost $40 and take 6-8 weeks for processing.
Other Events:
Wednesday April 30th: Scholarship/Awards Night 5:30-7:30pm
Students who have received a scholarship will receive an invitation in the mail to attend. The event will be held at the CMR Fieldhouse.
Wednesday May 28th: The Senior Celebration & Seniors' Last Day
Senior Celebration, a senior talent show, will start at approximately 1:15 pm in the Fieldhouse. The live show audience will include the CMR student body, and the event will be live-streamed on the CMR Facebook Page.
Wednesday May 28th: Baccalaureate @ Bill Will Auditorim
Baccalaureate - The doors open at 6:30 pm. Students wear caps and gowns with formal dress underneath. *Parents and families are welcome to attend*
Friday May 30th: Senior Breakfast 8:30-9:45am - CMR Auxiliary Gym
- The event includes a catered breakfast, speakers, door prizes, and awards
- Tickets are $15 per person and will be sold in the commons during both lunches May 13, May 15, May 20, May 22 (cash or check only).
Friday May 30th: Schnider Funeral Home Tree Planting Ceremony 9:45am @ CMR STEM Lot
This is a short ceremony with Schnider Funeral Home, who will donate a tree dedicated to the Class of 2025.
Friday, May 30th: Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal - 10:30-12:30 pm @ MT Expo Park
Please arrive no later than 10:15 am. If you do not attend the rehearsal, you may not participate in the graduation ceremony. Rehearsal will begin at 10:30 am in the Pacific Steel and Recycling Arena. The only attendance exceptions are for school-related activities or verified medical situations with a doctor’s note (communicate with your AP.)
Caps and gowns are required attire for rehearsal; if you arrive without your cap and gown, you will need to get them or risk not participating in the rehearsal and the commencement exercises. Please try on your cap and gown before the week of graduation. If there is a problem with the fit, contact Josten's representative Jim Netz at 406-452-6390 or jim.netz.jr@jostens.com.
Beaded Mortarboards- GFPS does allow beading on the mortarboards (graduation caps) of our American Indian students. Beading of the cap will be done traditionally by an older family or community member. Our CMR Academic Achievement Coach, can provide more detailed information on the beading. If you are planning on beading your cap, you or a family member must notify Mrs. McGraw, the CMR Principal. Any student who has received an Eagle Feather during a ceremony is welcome to wear it on their cap.
Adornments- All other adornments must be brought to the administration through your group's leader. Applications must be completed by May 1.
Graduation Photos- Big Sky Photography will take graduation photos. Registration will take place at the graduation rehearsal. Please have a parent's email address and current address to register for pictures.
Honor Cords and Sashes
GPA for honor cords and sashes is calculated through the 7th semester. If you qualify to wear an honor cord or sash, you will receive an informational postcard from Mrs. Lowry.
- Honor Cords ($10.00) - for students with cumulative GPAs of 3.5-3.749
- Honor Stoles ($15.00) - for students with cumulative GPAs of 3.75-4.0
Saturday, MAY 31: Graduation Ceremony - 6:00 PM @ MT Expo Park
Senior Parking - All graduates (not family parking - seniors only) park by the vendor entrance on the facility's north side facing Sam’s Club and enter through the back door.
Family/Guest Parking - The Dusty Gliko Rodeo will be held on the same day as graduation, so parking may be limited. We recommend the parking lot on the north side near Sam's Club.
Handicap Seating - A handicap seating section will be available at graduation. The handicapped section will allow for one handicapped person and ONLY one other guest. Please call Miss Stevens at (406) 268-6104 or email samantha_stevens@gfps.k12.mt.us to reserve a handicapped spot in advance. This will ensure that enough seating is available.
- 5:30 pm- Report to the Arena and take your assigned seat. Give purses, sunglasses, cell phones, etc. to family or friends for safekeeping.
- 6:00 pm- Procession begins. It will be live-streamed on the CMR Facebook Page.
Saturday, May 31: Graduation Party -7:15pm @ CMR Auditorium, Fieldhouse, and Cafe
- The graduation party, sponsored by Project Graduation, will begin at 7:15 pm (must check-in by 8:15 pm - there will be no entry after that time) and end at 1:00 am.
- The party will be at CMR and includes food, games, entertainment, and fabulous prizes.
- Tickets are $30 and can be purchased (with cash or check) in the commons during lunch May 13, May 15, May 20, May 22. Students must attend for the entire event and be present to win prizes.
- *Scholarships are available for students who cannot pay for a ticket. Please see Ms. Stevens if you are in need of a scholarship to attend.
- Students will be participating in various fun activities throughout the night.
- Save the Date postcards will be mailed in April and updates will be posted on the CMR Facebook page and through the CMR Senior Class Google Classroom.
